Mobile All-In-One Tool is a mobile application that enables users to configure SATO printers easily. The application supports Android™ and iOS mobile operating systems. The application can be used with NFC, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi interfaces to configure selected SATO printers.

This application allows SATO printer users to bypass the physical staging process, saving associated labour and costs.

How does it help with printer configuration?

Configuring and troubleshooting individual printers manually is time-consuming when done with a PC or by keying in values on an individual printer LCD screen or touchpad. Pairing with Bluetooth or configuring the IP address to a mobile app can also be troublesome.

With NFC, users can configure and troubleshoot³ SATO printers instantly with a simple mobile device tap. The updated utility allows SATO users to configure printers to established settings and policies, run test prints and add fonts and apps4, all via contactless protocols.

SATO printer users can ise the All-In-One Tool V2 for Windows or the Mobile All-In-One Tool to configure printers for various environments or specific needs, thereby enhancing productivity.

Test printing from a mobile device allows users to verify printouts quickly, including checking print quality and darkness, at speed.

During these interactions, we identified a specific need for a user-friendly and swift solution for configuring individual or multiple printers while on the go.

What are the differences between mobile handover and mobile staging?

Mobile handover

The traditional Bluetooth pairing process involves searching for the device and entering a pin to establish a connection. However, with mobile handover (specifically Bluetooth handover), this process is simplified. Instead of searching and inputting a pin, you can simply scan the device's NFC to connect via Bluetooth.

Mobile staging

Staging is the term used when preparing the printer for delivery to the customer. It may also involve some pre-configuration of the printer. We use this process to set up the printer via NFC even if the printer (PW2/4NX series only) is still in the box without a battery.
